In 2017 Ukraine public debt was 71,412 million euros 80,675 million dollars, has increased 2,9624,907 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 71.92% of Ukraine GDP, a 9.26 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 81.18% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Ukraine debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 12,821 million euros 17,571 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 12.27%.
According to the last data point published, Ukraine per capita debt in 2017 was 1,692 euros1,911 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 1,614 euros 1,786 dollars, afterwards rising by 78 euros125 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 278 euros380 dollars .
The position of Ukraine, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 144 in the list of debt to GDP and 83 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
