In 2018 Qatar public debt was 78,756 million euros 93,011 million dollars, has increased 5,2149,931 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 48.63% of Qatar GDP, a 1.12 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 49.75% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Qatar debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 8,697 million euros 12,792 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 11.1%.
According to the last data point published, Qatar per capita debt in 2018 was 28,312 euros33,437 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 27,679 euros 31,268 dollars, afterwards rising by 633 euros2,169 dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 5,597 euros8,232 dollars .
The position of Qatar, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 89 in the list of debt to GDP and 173 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
