In 2017 Pakistan public debt was 180,846 million euros 204,301 million dollars, has increased 10,53915,788 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 66.96% of Pakistan GDP, a 0.67 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 67.63% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Pakistan debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 58,296 million euros 79,895 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 52.44%.
According to the last data point published, Pakistan per capita debt in 2017 was 918 euros1,037 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 880 euros 974 dollars, afterwards rising by 38 euros63 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 369 euros505 dollars .
The position of Pakistan, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 136 in the list of debt to GDP and 56 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
