In 2017 Iraq public debt was 102,185 million euros 115,438 million dollars, has increased 3482,714 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 59.62% of Iraq GDP, a 6.47 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 66.09% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Iraq debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 75,884 million euros 104,000 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 117.09%.
According to the last data point published, Iraq per capita debt in 2017 was 2,670 euros3,016 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 2,737 euros 3,030 dollars, afterwards dropping by 67 euros 14dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,640 euros3,619 dollars .
The position of Iraq, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 116 in the list of debt to GDP and 102 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
