Serbia, maintains its electricity among the cheapest in Europe

The average price of electricity in Serbia, in December of 2016, has been 0.0654€ per kilowatt hour. Electricity price has increased € 0.0013 kWh, 2.03% since the last semester. Meanwhile, the average price of electricity without taxes in Serbia in that period was € 0.05 per kilowatt hour, compared to € 0.049 kWh in the previous semester. The price of electricity excluding taxes increased by 2.04%.

In the last twelve months the price of electricity in Serbia has increased by 0.2%.

From 2013 until now, the highest price of electricity in Serbia has been € 0.0654 kWh, in December of 2016, while in June of 2013, electricity price was € 0.0564 kWh, its minimum price in this period.

Serbia is the second country in Europe with the cheapest electricity.

Finally, if we compare the price of electricity with taxes and without taxes, we see that, in the last period, households paid € 0.0154 of taxes for each kilowatt hour, which means that 23.51% of what households pay for the electricity are taxes.
