CO2 emissions, in Uzbekistan in 2022, have grown 4.722 megatons, 3.7% compared to 2021.
CO2 emissions in 2022 were 132.434 megatons, making Uzbekistan is the 149th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Uzbekistan, have increased in 2022, in which they have been 3.89 tons per inhabitant.
If you look at evolution f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Uzbekistan, has emitted 0.46 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2021.
In the table we can see the evolution of CO2 emissions, which have grown in the last ten years, while per capita emissions have decreased and, on the contrary, CO2 emissions per $ 1,000 of GDP.
Total carbon dioxide emissions have also increased in the last five years, as have per capita emissions, then the situation continues to worsen.
