CO2 emissions, in Taiwan in 2022, have fallen 13.043 megatons, 4.52% compared to 2021.
CO2 emissions in 2022 were 275.574 megatons, making Taiwan is among the countries that pollute the most in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Taiwan, have decreased in 2022, in which they have been 11.52 tons per inhabitant.
If you look at evolution f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Taiwan, has emitted 0.17 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, a lower figure than in 2021.
In the table we can see the evolution of CO2 emissions, which have grown in the last ten years, while per capita emissions have decreased and, on the contrary, CO2 emissions per $ 1,000 of GDP.
However, in the last five years, total emissions have decreased in Taiwan, as have emissions per capita, then the situation is improving.
