Christianity is the Burundi's top religion, around 76.17% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.98%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Burundi population, has dropped to 99.98%. As to Christianity it has increased, the previous survey recorded 73.41% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 76.17% follow it.

Animist Religions is the second most practiced religion in Burundi, accounts for about 19.9% of the population.
