Peru - Intentional self-harm

In 1986 occurred 147 suicides in Peru. This year, 48 more people committed suicide than in 1983.

Peru had 0.7 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.39 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Peru has the lowest suicide rate in the world.

Of the 147 recorded suicide cases in 1986, 95 were men suicides and 52 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 0.9 per 100,000 men and for women 0.5 per 100,000 female.
