Number of suicides increases in New Zealander

In 1982 around 364 suicides occurred in New Zealander, 44 more than in 1981.

New Zealander reported 11.3 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 15.68 self-harm per 100.000 people.

New Zealander, has a relatively low rate of suicide per inhabitants.

Of the 364 recorded suicide cases in 1982, 257 were men suicides and 107 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 16.1 per 100,000 men and for women 6.6 per 100,000 female.
