Suicides grow in Bahrain

By 2015, suicides in Bahrain increased by 2 people to at 90 suicides

In Bahrain there were 6.57 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.49 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 90 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 77 were men suicides and 13 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9.2 per 100,000 men and for women 2.42 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Bahrain suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 3 homicides in Bahrain, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 30 suicides.
