Life expectancy increases in India

In 1991 the life expectancy in India increased to 59.06 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 59.96 years and for men 58.26 years.

India’s position improvened with respect to the 191 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 143th in 1990 to 142th in 1991.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 1990, when it was 58.65 years, which is the same of what happens compared to 1981, when it was 54.18 years.
