Tanzanians CPI increased up to 17.9% year-on-year in October of 2011

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Tanzania in October of 2011 was 17.9%, 11 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.9%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2011 is 15.8%

We must highlight the increase of 1.2% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 24%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Recreation and culture of 0%, and an interannual variation of 2.3%.
