The annual variation rate of the CPI in El Salvador in July of 2006 was 5.6%, 12 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1.3%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2006 is 4.3%

We must highlight the increase of 6% in the prices of Transport, until its interannual rate reached 13.2%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Communication of 0%, and an interannual variation of 0%.
