In February, vehicle registrations in United Kingdom fell by 51.5% with respect to February of 1998. In total, 96,772 cars were registered and 2,389,953 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 4.05% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of February is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 12,732, 43.16% less than in February of 1998.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 84,040, which represents a figure of 52.56% less than in February of 1998.
