Since December 2019, the national minimum wage in Timor-Leste remained fixed at 104.7 € per month, that is 1,256 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in United States dollars, which is the official currency in Timor-Leste, we can see that, this year, it was 115 United States dollars and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Timor-Leste is in 84 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 100 of the list.
