The national minimum wage in Nigeria remained fixed

In 2003, the national minimum wage in Nigeria remained fixed at €41.5 per month, that is 498 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Nairas, which is the official currency in Nigeria, we can see that, this year, it was 5,500 Nairas and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2002 which was 12.2%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
