Since June 2005, the national minimum wage in Bulgaria remained fixed at €76.7 per month, that is 920 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Bulgarian Lev, which is the official currency in Bulgaria, we can see that, this year, it was 150 Bulgarian Lev and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2005 which was 4%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Bulgaria is in 51 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 78 of the list.
