This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 54.37% of Niger GDP, a 9.72 percentage point rise from 2016, when it was 44.65% of GDP.

According to the last data point published, Niger per capita debt in 2017 was 181 euros205 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 148 euros 163 dollars, afterwards rising by 33 euros42 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 51 euros69 dollars .
