In 2016 The Gambia public debt was 1,048 million euros 1,160 million dollars, has increased 201221 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 120.23% of The Gambia GDP, a 14.9 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 105.33% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of The Gambia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 733 million euros 921 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 140.55%.
According to the last data point published, The Gambia per capita debt in 2016 was 514 euros569 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 425 euros 472 dollars, afterwards rising by 89 euros97 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 493 euros619 dollars .
