This amount means that the debt in 2019 reached 124.98% of Cape Verde GDP, a 0.61 percentage point fall from 2018, when it was 125.59% of GDP.

According to the last data point published, Cape Verde per capita debt in 2019 was 4,023 euros4,504 dollars per inhabitant. In 2018 it was 3,844 euros 4,539 dollars, afterwards rising by 179 euros35 dollars, and if we again check 2009 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,573 euros2,194 dollars .
The position of Cape Verde, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2019 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 179 in the list of debt to GDP and 117 in debt per capita, out of the 189 we publish.
