In 2015 Cape Verde public debt was 1,816 million euros 2,015 million dollars, has increased 193142 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 127.92% of Cape Verde GDP, a 12 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 115.92% of GDP.

According to the last data point published, Cape Verde per capita debt in 2015 was 3,407 euros3,781 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 3,134 euros 4,162 dollars, afterwards rising by 273 euros381 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,559 euros1,944 dollars .
The position of Cape Verde, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 179 in the list of debt to GDP and 116 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
