In Kyrgyzstan there were 9.94 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.96 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 526 recorded suicide cases in 2008, 425 were men suicides and 100 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 16.37 per 100,000 men and for women 3.69 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Kyrgyzstan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 417 homicides in Kyrgyzstan, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.3 suicides.
