Kenya reported 7.07 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.88 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 2,144 recorded suicide cases in 2001, 1,720 were men suicides and 423 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.91 per 100,000 men and for women 2.64 per 100,000 female.
