Life expectancy improves in Nepal

In 1997 the life expectancy in Nepal increased to 60.77 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 61.86 years and for men 59.71 years.

Nepal’s position improvened with respect to the 193 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 143th in 1996 to 139th in 1997.
