Life expectancy of India goes up to 63.62 years

In 2002 the life expectancy in India increased to 63.62 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 64.73 years and for men 62.57 years.

India’s position improvened with respect to the 193 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 136th in 2001 to 133th in 2002.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 2001, when it was 63.09 years, which is the same of what happens compared to 1992, when it was 59.45 years.
