Life expectancy increases in India

In 2000 the life expectancy in India increased to 62.67 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 63.64 years and for men 61.75 years.

India’s position improvened with respect to the 193 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 134th in 1999 to 133th in 2000.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 1999, when it was 62.21 years, which is the same of what happens compared to 1990, when it was 58.65 years.
