Life expectancy falls in China

In 2023 the life expectancy in China decreased to 77.95 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 80.93 years and for men 75.2 years.

China’s position worsened with respect to the 195 countries we publish said data, dropping from the 44th in 2022 to 53th in 2023.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in China over the past several years, we find that it is lower than in 2022, when it was 78.2 years, which is the opposite of what happens compared to 2013, when it was 76.45 years.
