Belarus rises the national minimum wage

In 2006, the national minimum wage in Belarus remained fixed at €64.9 per month, that is 779 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Belarusian rubles, which is the official currency in Belarus, we can see that, this year, it was 165,220 Belarusian rubles and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 30,250 Belarusian rubles per month from the previous year, 22.41%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2005 which was 8%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Belarus is in 58 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 81 of the list.
