In 1997 the life expectancy in Ukraine increased to 67.66 years.
That year, the life expectancy for women was 73.2 years and for men 62.18 years.Ukraine’s position improvened with respect to the 195 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 106th in 1996 to 105th in 1997.
If we look at the change in life expectancy in Ukraine over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 1996, when it was 67.1 years, which is the opposite of what happens compared to 1987, when it was 71.18 years.
