In 2016 Slovakia public debt was 42,053 million euros 46,549 million dollars, has increased 760734 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 51.9% of Slovakia GDP, a 0.6 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 52.5% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Slovakia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 15,249 million euros 19,147 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 31%.
According to the last data point published, Slovakia per capita debt in 2016 was 7,750 euros8,571 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 7,610 euros 8,455 dollars, afterwards rising by 140 euros116 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,838 euros3,312 dollars .
The position of Slovakia, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 103 in the list of debt to GDP and 143 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
