In 2016 Comoros public debt was 147 million euros 163 million dollars, has increased 1314 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 26.27% of Comoros GDP, a 1.05 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 25.22% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Comoros debt. It has gone down since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 211 million euros 265 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 65.65%.
According to the last data point published, Comoros per capita debt in 2016 was 185 euros204 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 168 euros 186 dollars, afterwards rising by 17 euros18 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 345 euros432 dollars .
The position of Comoros, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 30 in the list of debt to GDP and 13 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
