In 2015 Iran public debt was 55,902 million euros 62,023 million dollars, has increased 7,1032,807 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 15.90% of Iran GDP, a 0.27 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 15.63% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Iran debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 23,755 million euros 29,554 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 13.56%.
According to the last data point published, Iran per capita debt in 2015 was 707 euros784 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 624 euros 830 dollars, afterwards rising by 83 euros46 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 342 euros426 dollars .
The position of Iran, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 16 in the list of debt to GDP and 56 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
