In 2014 Iraq public debt was 61,594 million euros 81,827 million dollars, has increased 5,3987,192 million since 2013.
This amount means that the debt in 2014 reached 37.02% of Iraq GDP, a 4.92 percentage point rise from 2013, when it was 32.10% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Iraq debt. It has gone down since 2004 in global debt terms, when it was 101,475 million euros 126,225 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 344.32%.
According to the last data point published, Iraq per capita debt in 2014 was 1,792 euros2,388 dollars per inhabitant. In 2013 it was 1,359 euros 2,146 dollars, afterwards rising by 433 euros242 dollars, and if we again check 2004 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,677 euros4,656 dollars .
The position of Iraq, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2014 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 77 in the list of debt to GDP and 100 in debt per capita, out of the 183 we publish.
