In 2014 Iraq public debt was 65,474 million euros 86,983 million dollars, has increased 9,54812,707 million since 2013.
This amount means that the debt in 2014 reached 38.93% of Iraq GDP, a 6.98 percentage point rise from 2013, when it was 31.95% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Iraq debt. It has gone down since 2004 in global debt terms, when it was 100,989 million euros 125,620 million dollars , and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 342.67%.
According to the last data point published, Iraq per capita debt in 2014 was 1,881 euros2,499 dollars per inhabitant. In 2013 it was 1,674 euros 2,223 dollars, afterwards rising by 207 euros276 dollars, and if we again check 2004 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,786 euros4,707 dollars .
The position of Iraq, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2014 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 79 in the list of debt to GDP and 96 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
