In 2016 Indonesia public debt was 234,679 million euros 259,767 million dollars, has increased 26,14528,399 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 27.85% of Indonesia GDP, a 0.98 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 26.87% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Indonesia debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 113,138 million euros 142,057 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 35.85%.
According to the last data point published, Indonesia per capita debt in 2016 was 907 euros1,004 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 816 euros 906 dollars, afterwards rising by 91 euros98 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 504 euros633 dollars .
The position of Indonesia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 35 in the list of debt to GDP and 64 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
