In 2014 Egypt public debt was 195,749 million euros 260,052 million dollars, has increased 13,55318,077 million since 2013.
This amount means that the debt in 2014 reached 86.27% of Egypt GDP, a 1.49 percentage point rise from 2013, when it was 84.78% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Egypt debt. It has risen since 2004 in global debt terms, when it was 64,316 million euros 80,003 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 96.51%.
According to the last data point published, Egypt per capita debt in 2014 was 2,255 euros2,997 dollars per inhabitant. In 2013 it was 2,154 euros 2,860 dollars, afterwards rising by 101 euros137 dollars, and if we again check 2004 we can see that then the debt per person was 928 euros1,154 dollars .
The position of Egypt, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2014 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 160 in the list of debt to GDP and 104 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
