In 2015 Ecuador public debt was 30,756 million euros 34,128 million dollars, has increased 7,0742,658 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 33.83% of Ecuador GDP, a 2.65 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 31.18% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Ecuador debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 11,669 million euros 14,537 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 35.02%.
According to the last data point published, Ecuador per capita debt in 2015 was 1,905 euros2,114 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 1,478 euros 1,964 dollars, afterwards rising by 427 euros150 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 850 euros1,059 dollars .
The position of Ecuador, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 51 in the list of debt to GDP and 93 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
