In 2015 El Salvador public debt was 13,680 million euros 15,180 million dollars, has increased 2,917878 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 58.72% of El Salvador GDP, a 1.64 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 57.08% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of El Salvador debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 5,290 million euros 6,590 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 38.55%.
According to the last data point published, El Salvador per capita debt in 2015 was 2,233 euros2,478 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 1,762 euros 2,342 dollars, afterwards rising by 471 euros136 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 889 euros1,107 dollars .
The position of El Salvador, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 121 in the list of debt to GDP and 100 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
