In 2015 Chile public debt was 37,973 million euros 42,131 million dollars, has increased 8,6543,181 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 17.54% of Chile GDP, a 2.48 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 15.06% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Chile debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 6,912 million euros 8,599 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 7%.
According to the last data point published, Chile per capita debt in 2015 was 2,116 euros2,348 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 1,645 euros 2,186 dollars, afterwards rising by 471 euros162 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 428 euros533 dollars .
The position of Chile, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 19 in the list of debt to GDP and 97 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
