In 2013 China public debt was 2,806,466 million euros 3,727,267 million dollars, has increased 366,728592,692 million since 2012.
This amount means that the debt in 2013 reached 39.36% of China GDP, a 1.96 percentage point rise from 2012, when it was 37.40% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of China debt. It has risen since 2003 in global debt terms, when it was 542,393 million euros 613,555 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 37.16%.
According to the last data point published, China per capita debt in 2013 was 2,062 euros2,673 dollars per inhabitant. In 2012 it was 1,768 euros 2,316 dollars, afterwards rising by 294 euros357 dollars, and if we again check 2003 we can see that then the debt per person was 419 euros475 dollars .
The position of China, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2013 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 85 in the list of debt to GDP and 105 in debt per capita, out of the 179 we publish.
