In 2013 Switzerland public debt was 239,141 million euros 317,603 million dollars, has decreased 2,222 7,500 million since 2012.
This amount means that the debt in 2013 reached 46.35% of Switzerland GDP, a 0.28 percentage point fall from 2012, when it was 46.63% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Switzerland debt. It has risen since 2003 in global debt terms, when it was 185,257 million euros 209,562 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 59.45%.
According to the last data point published, Switzerland per capita debt in 2013 was 29,380 euros39,510 dollars per inhabitant. In 2012 it was 30,024 euros 39,006 dollars, afterwards dropping by 644 euros 504dollars, and if we again check 2003 we can see that then the debt per person was 25,157 euros28,643 dollars .
The position of Switzerland, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2013 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 97 in the list of debt to GDP and 173 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
