In 2015 Suriname public debt was 2,017 million euros 2,238 million dollars, has increased 879727 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 43.46% of Suriname GDP, a 14.44 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 29.02% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Suriname debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 517 million euros 644 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 28.84%.
According to the last data point published, Suriname per capita debt in 2015 was 3,715 euros3,904 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 2,035 euros 2,706 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,680 euros1,198 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,037 euros1,293 dollars .
The position of Suriname, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 85 in the list of debt to GDP and 120 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
