In 2014 Rwanda public debt was 1,851 million euros 2,460 million dollars, has increased 226302 million since 2013.
This amount means that the debt in 2014 reached 31.13% of Rwanda GDP, a 2.45 percentage point rise from 2013, when it was 28.68% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Rwanda debt. It has risen since 2004 in global debt terms, when it was 1,527 million euros 1,900 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 90.81%.
According to the last data point published, Rwanda per capita debt in 2014 was 163 euros217 dollars per inhabitant. In 2013 it was 147 euros 195 dollars, afterwards rising by 16 euros22 dollars, and if we again check 2004 we can see that then the debt per person was 175 euros218 dollars .
The position of Rwanda, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2014 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 43 in the list of debt to GDP and 12 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
