In 2015 Oman public debt was 8,599 million euros 9,541 million dollars, has increased 5,5955,550 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 14.88% of Oman GDP, a 10 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 4.88% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Oman debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 2,390 million euros 2,974 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 9.87%.
According to the last data point published, Oman per capita debt in 2015 was 2,239 euros2,485 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 808 euros 1,074 dollars, afterwards rising by 1,431 euros1,411 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 913 euros1,138 dollars .
The position of Oman, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 13 in the list of debt to GDP and 101 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
