In 2016 Mozambique public debt was 11,746 million euros 13,001 million dollars, has decreased 5 37 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 115.2% of Mozambique GDP, a 27.14 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 88.06% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Mozambique debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 3,083 million euros 3,870 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 46.61%.
According to the last data point published, Mozambique per capita debt in 2016 was 409 euros452 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 420 euros 466 dollars, afterwards dropping by 11 euros 14dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 142 euros178 dollars .
The position of Mozambique, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 177 in the list of debt to GDP and 35 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
