In 2015 Mozambique public debt was 11,479 million euros 12,736 million dollars, has increased 3,5602,215 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 86.02% of Mozambique GDP, a 23.65 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 62.37% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Mozambique debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 4,277 million euros 5,321 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 70.16%.
According to the last data point published, Mozambique per capita debt in 2015 was 410 euros455 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 291 euros 387 dollars, afterwards rising by 119 euros68 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 204 euros254 dollars .
The position of Mozambique, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 158 in the list of debt to GDP and 38 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
