Costa Rica is in 97º place in the ranking of transparency

The transparency law of Costa Rica has been in force since 2017 and with it has earned 71 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Costa Rica ranks at number 97, de los 136 del RTI Rating. It is one of the countries with legislation less prone to guaranteeing the right to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
