In 2015 occurred 189 suicides in Eswatini. This year, 3 more people committed suicide than in 2014.

Eswatini had 17.51 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 9.51 suicides per 100,000 people.

Eswatini is a country with a high rate of suicide.

Of the 189 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 140 were men suicides and 49 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 25.1 per 100,000 men and for women 8.46 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Eswatini suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 112 homicides in Eswatini, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.7 suicides.
