Suicides fell in Serbia

By 2021, suicides in Serbia increased by 12 people to at 883 suicides On average, there are 2 suicides per day.

Of the 883 recorded suicide cases in 2021, 669 were men suicides and 214 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 20.17 per 100,000 men and for women 6.13 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Serbia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 77 homicides in Serbia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 11.5 suicides.
