Suicides increase in Mauritania

In 2015 occurred 240 suicides in Mauritania. This year, 9 more people committed suicide than in 2014.

Mauritania had 6.07 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.51 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 240 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 169 were men suicides and 71 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 8.76 per 100,000 men and for women 3.51 per 100,000 female.
