Kazakhstan has a very high suicide rate

By 2015, suicides in Kazakhstan increased by 175 people to at 4,855 suicides In 2015, on average 13 Kazakhs committed suicide every day.

In Kazakhstan there were 27.47 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 9.51 suicides per 100,000 people.

Kazakhstan has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 4,855 recorded suicide cases in 2015, 3,983 were men suicides and 872 were women. Men have a very high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 47.48 per 100,000 men and for women 9.53 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Kazakhstan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 853 homicides in Kazakhstan, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 5.7 suicides.
