Japanese CPI increased up to 0.1% year-on-year in October of 2016

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Japan in October of 2016 was 0.1%, 6 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.6%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2016 is 0.5%

We must highlight the increase of 1.6% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 2.3%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Communication of -0.2%, and an interannual variation of -2.6%.
